At the beginning of the story Aunt Polly makes Tom whitewash the fence as punishment for skipping school. This famous scene had everyone laughing.

When Tom goes back to school, he finally gets to talk to the new girl, Becky Thatcher.

Injun Joe, Doc Robinson and Muff Potter at the graveyard and up to no good.
Everyone in the audience was captivated by the performances.
At the final performance, Ms. Barbara presented the performers with a gift certificate for a cast party in appreciation for all thier hard work.
Delores Hydock explains how many books she checked out at her local library while researching "Dead Cats and Spunk Water: Superstitions and Magical Thinking in the Writings of Mark Twain."
